How it works
Four steps. No phone calls.
- 01
Say what you need
Type it the way you’d say it, or pick a service. Add where and when.
- 02
See who can help
Businesses that do the job, reach your area and have time.
- 03
Choose a time
A fixed time, an arrival window, morning or afternoon. Whatever suits that job.
- 04
Book, then get on with your day
You’ll see the business’s details and what happens next. Payment for the work is between you and them.
Every job is different
Each service books the way it works.
A hairdresser has slots. A plumber has a window. A big job needs a quote. GYC shows the right kind of booking for each, so nobody has to pretend.
Fixed time
Pick the exact time.
For example Tutors, hairdressers, driving lessons
Arrival window
Pick a window. They arrive inside it.
For example Electricians, engineers, repairs
Morning or afternoon
Choose the half of the day.
For example Cleaners, painters, gardeners
Visit first
Book the visit. The price follows the inspection.
For example Leaks, faults, anything nobody can price from a photo
Quote first
Describe the job. Get a quote, then decide.
For example Kitchens, extensions, bigger projects
As soon as possible
Urgent? Say so, and see who can come soonest.
For example Burst pipes, lockouts, no heating
Know what you’re booking
A booking confirms the visit, not a surprise bill.
If a job can’t be priced until someone sees it, you’ll see that before you book. A visit is a visit. A quote is a quote. Bigger work is agreed separately.
Before you say yes
Know who’s coming.
Letting someone into your home, your car or your diary takes trust. Every business will have a clear profile, and nothing on it will be made up.
Who they are
Business name and what they do.
Where they work
The area they cover, so you only see people who can reach you.
What you’re booking
A visit, a lesson or a quote, and what it doesn’t include.
What others say
Reviews will appear once real bookings have happened. Not before.
Questions
When can I use GYC?
It’s coming soon. Launch places and services will be announced here when they’re confirmed.
Do I pay GYC?
You pay the business directly for the work, as you do now. GYC doesn’t take payment for the job.
Does a booking fix the price?
A booked visit or lesson confirms that appointment. If a job needs inspecting or quoting first, you’ll see that before you book.
What if nobody is free?
You’ll find out straight away, instead of after an afternoon of calls.
